Top > Farewell Message from Consul General Ono
It is with sincere respect that I wish to inform you that my duties as Consul General of Japan in Denver have been completed, and I will be leaving Denver for Japan near the end of March.
I have had a wonderful opportunity, over the last three and a half years, to work and build friendships with you and many colleagues among the good people of the Rocky Mountain region. The support and kindness extended to me during my mission here in Denver has been exceptional, and I wish to express heartfelt gratitude for your superb assistance.
I feel a certain sadness in leaving and will miss the people, natural beauty, and great potential of this region. But with gratitude, I also feel pride in the hope that I have been able to achieve my mission successfully in promoting friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and the Rocky Mountain area.
My successor as Consul General will be Mr. Makoto Ito, and he is expected to arrive in Denver in early April. I sincerely hope that you will extend the same wonderful hospitality and cooperation that I have enjoyed to him as well.
Sincerely yours,
Ikuhiko Ono
Consul General of Japan in Denver
