Farewell Meeting with Utah Governor Gary Herbert (February 2, 2017)

     On February 2nd, Consul General Ito visited Utah to hold a farewell meeting with Governor Gary Herbert. After congratulating the Governor on his reelection, the Consul General discussed the current condition of Japanese and American economic relations, as well as Japanese relations specific to Utah. He also expressed his hope for the continuation of a great Utah/Japan relationship.
     Governor Herbert stated that Utah’s relationship with the world including Japan is Utah’s strong point, and he desires to continually enhance the economic relations with Japan and the United States. Lastly, Governor Herbert expressed his gratitude for all of Consul General Ito’s efforts.
