Consul-General Takeuchi Attended the Utah Workforce Development Seminar at Utah Valley University (March 11, 2019)

On Monday, March 11th, Consul-General Midori Takeuchi attended the Utah Workforce Development Seminar co-hosted by Utah Valley University and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA. Around 50 participants including Mr. Miles Hansen, President and CEO of the World Trade Center Utah, students and faculty members attended the Seminar.
Consul-General Takeuchi delivered welcome remarks, mentioning the recent economic relations between Japan and the United States including the bilateral economic relations between Japan and Utah, and the hope this seminar would enhance further strengthening the economic ties between Japan and Utah.
A panel discussion was held under the theme of Japan-Utah collaboration on workforce education and better employment environment, with panelists; Mr. Osamu Taki, Chief Executive Director of JETRO Los Angeles office, Mr. Benjamin Hart, Deputy Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and Ms. Bryce Hunt, Customer Success Manager of Podium. Following the panel discussion, attendees asked many questions on the topics discussed.
