Consul-General MIKAMI Yoichi attends the 2022 U40 Summit and hosts a Reception for the Participants (May 20, 2022)


On Friday, May 20, Consul-General MIKAMI Yoichi attended the 2022 U40 Summit organized by the US-Japan Council in Denver. Mr. Paul Yonamine, Chair of the US-Japan Council, Ms. Suzanne Basalla, President and CEO of the US-Japan Council, 50 leaders under 40, who plays active roles in various fields, joined the Summit.
Admiral Harry Harris Jr., former U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, former Commander of US Pacific Command, President Suzanne, and Consul-General MIKAMI, held the panel discussion under the theme of New Frontier for U.S. Japan relations. Consul-General MIKAMI made a presentation about Japan’s digital policy. In the Q&A session, many questions to the presenters were raised.
In the evening of May 20, Consul-General MIKAMI invited the participants of the Summit and hosted the welcome reception at his residence.
