Nan Desu Kan 2022: Consulate-General of Japan was invited (September 2-4, 2022)

The 2022 Nan Desu Kan (NDK) was held from September 2nd to 4th at Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Colorado.

Nan Desu Kan is an annual anime convention which started in 1997. It has grown to be the largest anime convention in the Rocky Mountain region. Some special guests included voice actors and university professors as panelists. This year, the number of attendees reached 30,000; making it a splendid 25th anniversary. At the convention, there were multiple panels, a cosplay competition, video screenings, various vendors and an itasha (anime painted cars / motorcycles) exhibition.

The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver was kindly invited. Consul-General Mikami gave a brief speech at the opening ceremony on September 2nd. Deputy Consul-General Azechi joined the cosplay competition as a judge on September 3rd.
