“AKI MATSURI (Japanese Fall Festival) 2022”in Albuquerque, NM: Consulate-General of Japan was invited (September 25, 2022)



On Sunday, September 25th, “Aki Matsuri 2022” was held at New Mexico Veterans’ Memorial Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, hosted by the New Mexico Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League(NMJACL).
"Aki Matsuri" has been an annual event for the past 40 years. There were various cultural events held at the venue, with many shops, affiliated organizations, and food and drink booths. This year, even more people attended “Aki Matsuri” than in years past.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. David Inouye, Executive Director of the Japanese American Citizens League, delivered a speech. The Consulate-General of Japan was invited, and Consul-General Yoichi Mikami also delivered a speech expressing his respect and appreciation for the efforts of NMJACL, sponsors, volunteers, and others. Honorary Consul Davis Begay was also in attendance the “Aki Matsuri”.
Many people enjoyed "Aki Matsuri", and the excellent weather.
