Japan-Utah Business and Investment Seminar (November 15, 2022)



On Tuesday, November 15, World Trade Center Utah and Consulate-General of Japan in Denver co-hosted “Japan-Utah Business and Investment Seminar.” In total, 140 participants attended the Seminar, including Mr. David Carlebach, COO, World Trade Center Utah, Mr. Franz Kolb, Office of Governor’s Office, Director for International Trade, Diplomacy, and Protocol, Mr. TAKI Osamu, Chief Executive Director, JETRO Los Angeles, and many Japanese and Utah business persons. From the Consulate-General, Mikami Yoichi, Consul-General and Mr. Inoue Junya, consul participated. Participants of the seminar joined both in person and virtually.
The seminar also hosted many panel sessions: 1. On the current business and investment environment for Utah-Japan Trade and Investment, delivered by Utah government officials, lawyers, and banking executives, 2. A panel session on Japanese and Utah Companies that are doing business, and 3. JETRO’s presentation on promoting business & investment between the US and Japan. Participants asked many questions on each session and showed great interest on the economic ties between the two countries and the potential business and investment opportunities between Japan and Utah. Consul-General MIKAMI delivered the opening remarks.
