Visit to Aspen by Mayor Tanaka of Shimukappu, Hokkaido, Japan

Mr. Masaharu Tanaka, Mayor of Shimukappu Village, Hokkaido, along with other members from the village, including some exchange students, visited Aspen to further develop their sister-city relationship with the City of Aspen.

On January 10, Mayor Tanaka and two others attended a meeting of the Aspen City Council, where Mayor Torre read a special proclamation congratulating the 32nd anniversary of the sister-city relationship. Mayor Tanaka made remarks, and then Deputy Consul-General Azechi commented.
