Japan-Colorado Business Seminar (June 23, 2023)

On June 23, Consulate-General of Japan in Denver hosted the Japan-Colorado Business Seminar at the Denver Botanic Gardens with IBCircle and the Japan American Society of Colorado.
This seminar was held as a follow-up to the visits to Japan by Governor Polis and Mayor Hancock of Denver in March of this year, as well as the resumption of direct flights between Narita and Denver in March of this year (the 10th anniversary of the direct flight) which has stimulated economic and tourism exchange between Japan and Colorado in the state of Colorado.
The seminar featured presentations on Japan-Colorado economic relations by the Colorado State Government, Denver City Government, JETRO Los Angeles, Japan American Society of Colorado, Sakura Square, and business representatives, followed by a Q&A session. Consul-General Mikami gave short opening remarks.
The seminar was followed by a networking event at the Bill Hosokawa Memorial Bonsai Pavilion in the Denver Botanic Gardens. The seminar and networking event was attended by approximately 80 Japanese and Colorado government, business, and university officials.
