Japan America Society of Colorado Annual Gala (October 11, 2023)

On Wednesday, October 11, the Japan America Society of Colorado (JASC) Annual Gala was held in Denver.

Executive Director Claudine Lacascio introduced guests and sponsors. Derek Okubo, President of JASC, made remarks, Jared Polis, Governor of Colorado, made a video message, and Mike Johnston, Mayor of Denver, made remarks.

Japanese culture was introduced with a taiko drumming demonstration, and sushi and other Japanese dishes were served.

Many people, including members of JASC, local government officials, representatives of various organizations, business people, and Ms. Yoko Tanaka, Executive Director of the JNTO Los Angeles Office, among others, participated in the event, making it a very successful gala.

The Consulate-General of Japan was invited, and Consul-General MIKAMI Yoichi and Consul FURUTANI Keiko attended.
