JET Alumni Association of The Rocky Mountains New Year Gathering (February 24th, 2024)

On February 24th, New Year Gathering (Shinnenkai) was hosted by the JET Alumni Association of The Rocky Mountains (JETAARM) .

The event was started by the MC, Mr. Brad Breiten, Vice President of the JETAARM. Mr. David LaCharite, the President, then made a presentation on the JETAARM’s activities, before introducing Ms. Jessyca Livingston, Executive Director of the National US JETTAA and former member of JETAARM.

Attendants also enjoyed doing the Hanagasa Odori (Dance) together. Hagagasa Odori is a folk dance from Yamagata prefecture. Yamagata prefecture and Colorado state are sister prefecture/state.

The Consulate-General was invited. Consul-General Mikami delivered greetings.

It was a great evening.
