Title: Commendation of the Consul-General of Japan in Denver for the Rocky Mountain Anime Association (RMAA) (March 8, 2024)

On March 8, 2024, the ceremony for the Commendation of the Consul-General of Japan in Denver was held at the residence of the Consul-General. Consul-General Mikami presented the Commendation to the Rocky Mountain Anime Association.

The Rocky Mountain Anime Association members attended the ceremony.

The Rocky Mountain Anime Association has organized and hosted Nan Desu Kan, an annual anime convention since in 1997. It has grown to be the largest anime convention in the Rocky Mountain region. This September, Nan Desu kan marks its 27th year.

The Commendation of the Consul-General of Japan is awarded to recognize the achievements of individuals and groups that have made significant contributions to the performance of their diplomatic missions abroad including the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship, the development of the external economy, the promotion of public relations and cultural activities, and the performance of consular duties.
