Chado Urasenke Tankokai New Mexico Association 20th Anniversary Celebration (October 18, 2024)

The Chado Urasenke Tankokai New Mexico Association’s 20th Anniversary Celebration was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20.

At the reception on the 18th, the guests of honor were introduced by the Urasenke Tankokai New Mexico Association’s Chief Administrator, Kevin Padilla. Among the guests of honor, the following individuals gave remarks: Sokei Suzuki, Deputy Tea Master, Executive Tea Instruction Manager for the Chado Urasenke North America Head Office, and Chief Tea Instructor for the Urasenke New York Branch; Jorge H. Aigla, President of the Urasenke Tankokai New Mexico Association; and Davis Begay, Vice-President of the Urasenke Tankokai New Mexico Association.

The event was attended by approximately 130 people from all over the United States. The Consulate-General of Japan was invited, and Consul FURUTANI Keiko attended.
