Consulate-General of Japan in Denver Hosts Annual National Day Reception (February 14, 2025)

On Friday, February 14th, the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver hosted its annual National Day Reception, celebrating His Majesty the Emperor of Japan’s birthday as well as the local relationships the consulate has made within its jurisdiction. Approximately 260 people from all walks of life attended the reception, including Colorado Governor Jared Polis and Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon.


Following the national anthems of both countries and remarks by Consul-General Okajima, Governor Polis, and Governor Gordon, a toast was given by Stephanie Garnica, President of the Japan America Society of Colorado.


Japanese companies, JETRO, JNTO, and Denver Sister Cities International set up booths at the reception to introduce their products, services, and technologies, Japanese tourism, and sister-cities exchange. Many participants enjoyed the booths.
