Sakura Foundation Hosts Graduation Reception for the Mirai Generations Leadership Program Class of 2025 (May 4, 2025)

On May 4th, 2025, the Sakura Foundation hosted a graduation reception for the Mirai Generations Leadership Program (MGLP) Class of 2025 in Denver.

The MGLP is a program of the Sakura Foundation which provides young leaders with opportunities to learn about the history and culture of the local Nikkei community, to nurture the younger generation who will be responsible for the future of their communities.

After initial greetings by Ms. Stacey Shigaya, Executive Director of the Sakura Foundation, the reception featured a keynote speech by Mr. Kenzo Kawanabe and presentations by each graduate on their experiences in the program.

The Consulate-General was invited to the reception and Consul-General Okajima gave a congratulatory speech.
