The 2025 Amache Pilgrimage Memorial Ceremony (May 17, 2025)

On Saturday, May 17th, the 2025 Amache Pilgrimage Memorial Ceremony was held at the former site of the Amache incarceration site in Granada, Colorado. Many Japanese Americans were interned at Amache during World War II.

More than 100 people from Colorado and beyond attended the ceremony to honor those who died in the camp during World War II, as well as those who left the camp to serve in the U.S. military within the European theater of war.

The Consulate-General was invited to the event and Consul General Okajima and staff attended.
