2025 Heart Mountain Pilgrimage (July 24-26, 2025)

From Thursday, July 24 to Saturday, July 26, the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation held its annual Pilgrimage at the Heart Mountain Interpretive Center.
Throughout the three days, participants toured the museum and camp site, attended various lectures and workshops, and viewed an exhibition introducing the Ireichō, a record of over 120,000 Japanese Americans incarcerated in the United States during World War II, within which visiting relatives, friends, and acquaintances can stamp their names.
On the 26th, the ceremony included an opening declaration, flag raising, national anthem, and drum performance, followed by speeches from Ms. Ann Simpson (wife of the late Senator Alan Simpson), Ms. Deni Mineta (wife of the late Secretary of Transportation, Mr. Norman Mineta), Ms. Shirley Higuchi, Chair of the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation, and other guests.
This pilgrimage was attended by Consul-General OKAJIMA Hiroyuki and Mr. ORITA Kentaro, Counselor at the Japanese Embassy in the United States.
