Departure of the 39th JET Program Participants (July 25, 2025)

On July 25th, the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver held a predeparture orientation for outgoing participants of the 39th Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. A send-off reception was held at the Consul-General's official residence after the orientation, hosted by Deputy Consul-General Mika Takayama.


At the reception, DCG Takayama congratulated the participants and expressed her hopes for their success in their respective host assignments. Jessyca Livingston, Executive Director of the U.S. JET Program Alumni Association (USJETAA), also shared encouraging remarks, followed by remarks by representatives of the outgoing JET cohort. Following a toast by David LaCharite, President of the JET Program Alumni Association of the Rocky Mountains (JETAARM), participants enjoyed a pleasant and friendly atmosphere while they mingled and conversed.


The participants departed for Japan the following day (the 26th) in high spirits. We look forward to their contributions in Japan!
