Sakura Foundation Hosts “Spirit of Japan Denver 2025” (September 12-14, 2025)

The Sakura Foundation, in collaboration with the California-based Japan Taste Marketing (JTM), hosted the “Spirit of Japan Denver 2025” at Sakura Square in Denver from Friday, September 12th to Sunday, September 14th.

This year marked the second iteration of the event, which expanded to include Sakura Square’s adjacent Larimer Street. It was a huge success, with many visitors enjoying Japanese food, sake, and cultural demonstrations such as taiko drumming and calligraphy.

The Consulate-General was also invited to attend, with Consul-General Okajima touring the venue and participating in a tuna-cutting demonstration alongside Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, City Councilman Chris Hinds, and Executive Director of Denver Economic Development and Opportunity Adeeb Khan.
