Visit to Utah State University (September 30 - October 1, 2025)

From September 30th to October 1st, Consul Sanae Kanno and her staff visited Utah State University in Logan City, Utah. They met with the Japanese Language Department and Japanese Club members and promoted the JET Program.

In October of 2024, the Mehdi Heravi Global Language Center was opened at the university as a hub for language and multicultural education. It features language labs, a multicultural hub, and an outdoor balcony, and offers courses in eight foreign languages including Japanese.

Japanese language education continues to thrive, thanks to the support of faculty, Japanese language educators, JOI coordinator, the Japanese Club, and the Japanese Cultural Hub, their cultural exchange venue within the language center. It was a highly meaningful visit. Thank you to everyone involved!
