2025 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals (November 3, 2025)

On November 3rd (Japan Time), the Government of Japan announced the 2025 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals for their outstanding contributions to their respective areas. The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver therefore wishes it to be known that the following recipient from within the jurisdiction of the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver shall be conferred with a decoration in recognition of his endeavors. The details of the recipient are as follows:

Decoration: The Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays
Service: Contributed to improving the status of the Japanese American community and promoting mutual understanding between Japan and the United States

Summary of Contributions:

As a board member of the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation, Dr. Takashi Hoshizaki, who turned 100 this year, has long been actively engaged in preserving the history of the Heart Mountain Japanese American incarceration camp, which he also personally experienced. Through these efforts, he has made significant contributions to improving the status of the Japanese American community and promoting mutual understanding between the people of Japan and the United States.
