Japanese Business Delegation Visits Colorado (January 27 – 29, 2026)

From January 27th to 29th, a business delegation organized by JETRO and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), comprised of representatives from Japanese companies, visited Colorado to tour and exchange opinion with companies and research institutions in the field of quantum technology.
On the evening of the 28th, a networking event was held with local organizations such as the Japanese Business Association of the Rockies (JBAR), the Japan-America Society of Colorado (JASC), Sakura Square, and the University of Colorado Boulder. On the evening of the 29th, JASC hosted a business seminar on the quantum field titled "Japan Currents: Colorado-Japan Quantum Connections," which was attended by participants of the mission. The seminar included opening remarks by Andrew Wylegala, President of the National Association of Japan-America Societies (NAJAS), as well as presentations and a panel discussion on the development of the quantum field in Japan and Colorado. Consul-General Okajima also attended the seminar, and a networking reception was held at the official residence following the event.
Our office extends a warm welcome to all the members of the delegation on their visit to Colorado and expresses sincere appreciation for the efforts of JETRO, OEDIT, JASC, and all those involved. It is our hope that cooperation between Japan and Colorado in the field of quantum technology will accelerate even further.
