Meeting with the President & CEO of the Colorado Symphony and His Wife (March 5, 2026)

On March 5, Consul-General Okajima welcomed Mr. Daniel Wachter, President & CEO of the Colorado Symphony, and his wife to his residence for a cordial discussion.

Since his appointment in 2025, Mr. Wachter has been leading the Colorado Symphony and actively promoting exchange with diverse communities. The Colorado Symphony also serves as a sponsor of the Japan America Society of Colorado and makes significant contributions to international exchange in the region.

During the meeting, we enjoyed an insightful conversation on topics such as the universal nature of music, the Wachters’ impressions of traveling in Japan, and cultural diversity from both Japanese and German perspectives. As German natives who are also great friends of Japan, Mr. and Mrs. Wachter shared valuable perspectives that were truly enlightening for us.

Our office looks forward to further strengthening our partnership with the Colorado Symphony and contributing to the development of both the local community and international exchange.
