Attending the Aurora Asian/Pacific Community Partnership (AAPCP) Annual Meeting (April 28, 2026)

On April 28, Consul-General Okajima attended the Aurora Asian/Pacific Community Partnership (AAPCP) annual meeting in Aurora, Colorado. Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman was also present at this year’s meeting. The event featured an annual report on community activities, a leadership transition, and the relaunch of the Partnership’s scholarship program. Five outstanding students were recognized as scholarship recipients—congratulations to all of them!

We were deeply impressed by the strong unity and commitment of the Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities, as well as their dedication to supporting the next generation. We sincerely appreciate the invitation extended to the Consulate-General to attend this important occasion.

The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver will continue to strengthen its ties and cooperation with AANHPI communities and contribute to the growth and development of the region.
