Meeting with Ms. Yuzuki Yamamoto, Denver Summit FC Soccer Player (May 21, 2026)

On May 21, Consul-General Okajima met with Ms. Yuzuki Yamamoto, who has joined Denver Summit FC, a newly established team that entered the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) from the 2026 season. Ms. Yamamoto, a member of Nadeshiko Japan, made a complete transfer to Denver Summit FC this spring and joined the team on April 18.

During the meeting, Ms. Yamamoto spoke enthusiastically about her new life in Colorado and the fresh challenges she is taking on in this new environment. On behalf of the Japanese community, the Consul-General expressed a warm welcome to Ms. Yamamoto and conveyed our wish to support her.
