Exchange of Views with Japanese American Community Leaders (June 4, 2026)

On June 4, Consul-General Okajima invited Ms. Stacey Shigaya (Executive Director, Sakura Foundation), Ms. Cindy Kondo (a board member of the Nisei Veterans Heritage Foundation), and Ms. Jolie Noguchi (Owner, Pacific Mercantile) to the Consul-General’s official residence. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for a small group discussion with leaders who play a vital role in connecting the Consulate with the local Japanese American community.

We look forward to continuing to work together with these distinguished individuals to strengthen our ties with the local community and to contribute to an even more vibrant and inclusive society.
