On June 10th, 2026, the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver and Japan-America Society of Wyoming (JASWY) held a sake tasting event at the historic Laramie Railroad Depot in Laramie, WY.

The event included a wide selection of sakes provided by The Still Package Liquor and Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), as well as food pairings prepared by the Consulate’s chef, Mr. Jin Jo. Following opening remarks by JASWY President Mr. William Plumb, Consul Sanae Kanno, and Mr. Isaiah Perez, District Manager - Wyoming Wine for RNDC, guests were able to enjoy traditional music and Japanese Lion Dancing performed by Peaceful Forest, a family of five currently on a goodwill tour across the United States.

The Consulate-General would like to thank the many volunteers and sponsors who helped make this event a resounding success, and the 190 guests for their interest in Japanese sake and culture.
