Consul-General Okajima Hosts Commercial Spaceport Representatives from Colorado and Oita Prefecture (June 17, 2026)

On June 17, Consul-General Okajima welcomed Colorado Air and Space Port Director Jeff Kloska, Adams County Community & Economy Development Department Director Jenni Hall, and members of the Japan America Society of Colorado at the official residence, along with Mr. Tomoki Kakebayashi from Oita Prefectural Government who is visiting for observing space businesses in the U.S. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to discuss commercial spaceport development projects in Oita and in Colorado.

The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver will continue to work towards the further development of space cooperation between Japan and the U.S. including with local governments.
