U.S. Japan Council Happy Hour with USJC President and CEO Audrey Yamamoto (July 23, 2026)









On July 23, Consul-General Okajima invited local USJC representatives and hosted a happy at the Consul General’s Official Residence in conjunction with the area visit by Ms. Audrey Yamamoto, President and CEO of the U.S.-Japan Council (USJC). Held in a casual atmosphere, the event aimed to strengthen the relationship between the USJC and the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver while fostering networking opportunities among the participants.
In his opening remarks, Consul-General Okajima expressed his respect for the role the USJC plays in strengthening U.S.-Japan relations and fostering the next generation of leaders. Ms. Courtney Ozaki-Durgin and Ms. Elise Corwin, Co-Chairs of the USJC Mountain Region, also gave remarks and introductions, followed by an address from President Yamamoto that included an overview of the USJC's activities.
This gathering served as a valuable opportunity to further strengthen ties with the local Japanese community.
