Ceremony held to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary & New Office Opening of the New Mexico Asian Family Center (August 1, 2026)

On August 1, a ceremony was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the New Mexico Asian Family Center (NMAFC) and the opening of its new office.
NMAFC is a nonprofit organization established in 2006 that provides support for Asian residents in the State of New Mexico who are victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, and various other crimes, as well as social welfare services for residents facing economic hardship.
The ceremony was attended by many members of the Asian community. Consul Narisawa attended and conversed with several NMAFC staff and members of the local Japanese and other Asian communities.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver expresses our respect for the important role NMAFC has played for 20 years as a place of support for Asian residents in New Mexico, and we extend our best wishes toward NMAFC’s continued success and development.
