Denver Taiko 50th Anniversary Concert (August 29, 2026)

On August 29, a grand concert was held in Golden, Colorado to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Denver Taiko.

Founded in 1976, Denver Taiko is one of the oldest taiko groups in North America. The group brings together members from diverse backgrounds, centered around the Japanese American community, and has passed down the traditions and spirit of taiko across generations. Through their performances at local schools, community events, and various venues, they have continued to share the beauty and power of taiko drumming with a wide audience.

This anniversary concert was nothing short of spectacular, overflowing with the group’s passion for taiko and deep gratitude to the community. The performances, honed through countless hours of practice and rehearsal, showcased the unity and dedication of every member. The audience was moved as one, creating an unforgettable night of excitement and emotion.

We were honored to be invited, and Consul-General Hiroyuki Okajima and other consulate staff were able to enjoy a truly memorable evening.
