Sogetsu Colorado Chapter 40th Anniversary Banquet (September 26, 2026)

On September 26, 2026, the Sogetsu Colorado Chapter celebrated its 40th anniversary with a festive banquet held near Denver. Founded by the late Mrs. Kyoko Kita, who wished to share the beauty of ikebana in this region, the chapter has grown into a vibrant community where traditional Japanese values harmonize with new ideas and expressions, thanks to the dedication of many individuals.

On this special day, Consul-General Hiroyuki Okajima attended the event and presented the Consul- General’s Commendation, honoring those who have supported Japan-U.S. exchange through the art of beautiful flowers.

The following day, Mrs. Misei Ishikawa, Master Instructor of the Sogetsu Headquarters led an ikebana demonstration and workshop, allowing participants to experience the elegance and creativity of ikebana firsthand.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Sogetsu Colorado Chapter and wish them continued growth and success in the years to come.
