World Trade Center Denver Annual Gathering (October 6, 2026)

On October 6, Consul-General Okajima attended the annual gathering of the World Trade Center Denver (WTC Denver) and a reception celebrating the legacy honoring the 16-year leadership of President & CEO Karen Gerwitz.

At the annual meeting, as a new President & CEO, Stephanie Garnica, Director of Business Attraction, Global Engagement, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the City and County of Denver's Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO) and President of the Japan-America Society of Colorado, delivered remarks.

At the reception that followed, Colorado Governor Jared Polis and other distinguished guests delivered remarks recognizing Ms. Gerwitz’s dedicated service, along with remarks from Ms. Gerwitz herself.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Ms. Gerwitz for her many years of contributions and look forward to continuing our close collaboration with WTC Denver under Ms. Garnica’s leadership.
