Consul-General and Mrs. Ito attend the 2015 Annual Amache Pilgrimage Memorial Ceremony (May 16, 2015)

Consul General Ito and his wife attended the 2015 Annual Amache Pilgrimage Memorial Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2015. This ceremony is dedicated to the 31 Japanese-Americans from Camp Amache who volunteered and lost their lives in the European battlefield, and the 120 Japanese-Americans who died during relocation to the camp. The Pilgrimage is held annually in May on the Saturday before Memorial Day. About 60 people attended this year, the majority of which were Japanese-Americans from the Denver area.
