The City of Denver, Japan America Society of Colorado (JASC) and Denver International Airport (DIA) co-host welcome reception for Consul General Ito and Mrs. Ito (May 29, 2015)

The City of Denver, Japan America Society of Colorado (JASC) and Denver International Airport (DIA) co-hosted a welcome reception for Consul General Ito and Mrs. Ito at the Denver Performing Arts Complex on Friday, May 29, 2015. Mayor Hancock and representatives from each co-hosting organization offered warm words of welcome to the Consul General Ito and his wife. In response, Consul General Ito offered congratulatory remarks to Mayor Hancock on his re-election, and expressed his desire to strengthen relations between Colorado and Japan in the field of economy and to also deepen the cultural and social aspects of the relationship. Mayor Hancock presented Consul General Ito with a Colorado Rockies baseball jersey customized with his name on the back.
Over 150 guests, including local government officials and economic affiliates attended the event to celebrate the Consul General Ito and his wife's arrival to Denver.
