Conferment Ceremony of Japanese Imperial Decoration to Mr. William Hybl (June 23, 2015)

A conferment ceremony in honor of Mr. William Joseph Hybl(Chairman & CEO of El Pomar Foundation and former President of US Olympic Committee) was held at the Consul General's Residence on June 23, in which Mr. Hybl received the Imperial decoration "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" from Consul General Ito.  About 40 people attended the ceremony including his family members and people from political arena, business sector and sporting world.

After Consul General gave a congratulatory speech, Mr. Hybl said that he was very honored to receive the Japanese imperial decoration and expressed his appreciation to Emperor of Japan, Government of Japan and Japanese people.  He also said that he expected further enhancement of mutual cooperation which has been built up for a long time between Japanese Olympic Committee and US Olympic Committee.

Mr. BJ Hybl, President & COO of Griffis/Blessing Inc. and one of Mr. Hybl's sons, gave a congratulatory remarks on behalf of all invited guests.  Mr. Dave Palenchar, COO of El Pomar Foundation, made a congratulatory toast for Mr. Hybl.
