29th JET Program Participants Depart for Japan (July 25, 2015)

  The Consulate General of Japan in Denver held the 29th JET Program Pre-Departure Orientation and Reception at the Denver Public Library on Friday, July 24, 2015. Consul General Ito made an appearance at the reception, and emphasized in his speech that the JET Program not only contributes to the improvement of English teaching in Japan, but also to the betterment of mutual understanding between Japan and America. He congratulated the 52 participants on their acceptance into the program, and expressed his high hopes for their success at their respective placement locations.
   In addition, President Emily Freeman of the Rocky Mountain JET Alumni Association (RMJETAA) also congratulated the participants by offering warm words of encouragement and advice on how to enjoy life as a JET. The participants excitedly departed for Japan on Saturday, July 25th. We wish every participant all the best during their time in Japan.
