Japanese Kite Specialist visits Colorado (July 29 - August 2, 2015)

World famous Japanese kite specialist, Mr. Mikio Toki visited Colorado on Wednesday, July 29 through Sunday, August 2, 2015. He participated in workshops, welcome reception, and the 2nd Annual Denver Kite Festival, all which were co-hosted by the City of Denver and the Japan America Society of Colorado (JASC). In honor of Mr. Toki's visit, Consul General and Mrs. Ito hosted a dinner as well as attended the welcome reception and Kite Festival.
Tickets for the workshop sold out quickly due to high popularity, and the Kite Festival proved a colorful sight as approximately 100 attendees enjoyed flying their self-made kites.
