Takayama Middle School Students paid Courtesy Visit to Consul General (August 6, 2015)

25 middle school students from Takayama, Gifu—a sister city to Denver—paid a courtesy visit to Consul General Ito on Thursday, August 6, 2015. As representatives of Takayama, they said that they not only wish to deepen relations with Denver by engaging in exchanges with their home stay families and local students, but also to increase awareness of Takayama’s attractiveness. In response, Consul General Ito briefly explained about the duties of the Consulate and that of a diplomat. He also talked about how Denver is an attractive city as well with many tourism resources, and hopes they will learn a great deal from their visits and exchange activities.
