Japan America Society of Southern Colorado (JASSC) holds its Anuual Membership Gathering and Students from Fujiyoshida visit Colorado Springs (August 9, 2015)

The Japan America Society of Southern Colorado held its Membership Potluck Gathering at Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Attendees of the event included a visiting delegation of city staff and middle school students from sister city Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi. The students performed the Soranbushi dance, which received a big hand of applause from the audience.
Consul General Ito was also present at the gathering and expressed his respect for JASSC and its active role in the community. He congratulated Colorado Springs and Fujiyoshida on having 53 years of relations, and sincerely wishes for them to continue to deepen their relationship.
