Consul General Ito Paid a Visit to Denver City Mayor (December 7, 2015)

On Monday, December 7th, 2015, Consul General Ito paid a visit to Denver City Mayor Michael Hancock and exchanged views on the Mayor's Japan visit on November.
Mayor Hancock said it was a productive visit as he could attend the US-Japan council conference, pay a visit to Mr. Hitoshi Kikawada, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs. He also met with business community members, and attended an official ceremony marking 55 years of friendship between sister cities Denver and Takayama, among other visits.
In response, the Consul-General said he would like to continue cooperation with Denver City to strengthen further the relationship with Japan by taking advantage of Mayor's efforts.
