Consul General gave a lecture at Denver Rotary Club (January 21, 2016)

  Responding to an invitation from the Denver Rotary Club, Consul General Ito gave a 40-minute lecture focusing on “Japan-U.S. and Japan-Colorado Relations” on Thursday, January 21, 2016. There were approximately 100 attendees at the lecture including Denver Rotary Club members (business affiliates, researchers, non-governmental organizations, etc.).

  The Consul General talked about the history of Japan-U.S. relations, the relationship’s present state after being strengthened for 70 years after the war, Japan’s security policy, Japan’s relations with neighboring countries, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and Colorado-Japan relations (economic, cultural and VIP mutual visits). In the end, there was a lively Q&A session that concluded the lecture.
