Denver Boy Scouts Representative Visits the Consul-General (April 13, 2016)

On Wednesday, April 13th, Mr. John Cabeza, a representative of the Denver Boy Scouts came to the Consulate-General to pay a courtesy visit to Consul-General Ito.
Mr. Cabeza provided an overview of the Denver Boy Scouts activity in the Denver area. He also mentioned that the 23rd World Scout Jamboree held last year was held in Yamaguchi prefecture, Japan. In response, the Consul-General said he wishes to cooperate toward having children and youth from local Asian communities including Japanese children and youth as well as Japanese-Americans participate in Boy Scouts. Mr. Clarence Low, President of the Denver Asian Chamber of Commerce was also present during the visit and explained about the close and strong relationship between the Asian community and the Denver Boy Scouts.
