50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Ikebana International Colorado Springs Chapter (May 20, 2016)

On Friday, May 20th, Consul-General and Mrs. Ito attended a ceremony for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Ikebana International, Colorado Springs Chapter in Colorado Springs. During the ceremony, Chapter President Kathy Shafer gave the opening speech followed by Consul-General Ito's remarks where he offered his congratulations on their 50th anniversary and expressed his gratitude for the Chapter's activity in the community.
After the ceremony, there was a demonstration and workshop by ikebana master Shuji Ikeda from California. Many Colorado Springs citizens and affiliates attended the ceremony.
