On Sunday, September 18th, Consul-General and Mrs. Ito attended the 12th Annual Aki Matsuri (Japanese Fall Festival) held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This event was organized by the New Mexico Japanese American Citizens League (NMJACL) and is meant to introduce Japanese culture to the local community. The festival included performances of Japanese drums and traditional dance, a kendo demonstration, Japanese anime and an exhibit showcasing the activity of the NMJACL. It was a lively event with many people attending.
