On Thursday, October 20th, the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver hosted a reception at the Official Residence to welcome back JET Program participants who returned to Colorado this past summer. Consul-General Ito thanked the returnees for their participation in the program and expressed his hopes that they will all fully utilize their experiences and networks in Japan as bearers of future Japan-U.S. relations. Rocky Mountain JET Alumni Association (RMJETAA) President Emily Freeman also welcomed home the participants and explained about RMJETAA’s purpose and activities in Denver. Each returnee shared a little about their time on JET, which all seem to have been positive and fruitful. With a better understanding of the true meaning of Japan-U.S. exchange, we expect all returnees will become successful individuals in their respective fields.
