As part of the Kakehashi Project, which was started to deepen mutual understanding between Japan and the United States, a delegation of 50 students and chaperones from Tohoku University and Yokohama National University visited Colorado on Friday, January 6th through Wednesday, the 11th. On the 6th, Consul-General Ito briefed the students about the state by explaining the importance of Japan-U.S. exchanges and the history of Japanese-Americans. The students asked many questions about Japan-U.S. cultural exchanges and the meaningfulness of the being diplomat. Through youth mutual exchange, we hope mutual understanding between Japan and the U.S. deepens further and broadens future friendly exchanges.
