Conferment Ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2018 to the Japan America Society of Southern Colorado

     On October 20th, a Conferment Ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation (FMC) for FY2018 for the Japan America Society of Southern Colorado (JASSC) was held, on the occasion of the 2018 Japanese Cultural Festival and Bazaar held at the University Center on the University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus.  In the ceremony, Mr. Kazumasa Kondo, Acting Consul General of Japan in Denver, presented the Foreign Minister's Commendation to Mr. Paul Maruyama, a former President of the JASSC.

     The ceremony was held with many JASSC members and festival attendees in observance, recognizing the strong contribution of the Japan America Society of Southern Colorado toward promoting good Japan-US relations. Acting Consul General Kondo delivered congratulatory remarks prior to presenting the award, and Former President Maruyama offered words of gratitude to all.
