US-Japan Council Rocky Mountain Chapter and Consulate-General of Japan in Denver Co-host Reception (March 29, 2019)

On Friday, March 29, 2019, the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver co-hosted a reception with the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the US-Japan Council at the Official Residence on the occasion of a visit to Colorado by US-Japan Council Senior Vice President Kazu Maniwa. Approximately 40 people affiliated with the Japanese-American community attended the reception.
Consul-General Midori Takeuchi expressed her sincere appreciation for activities of US-Japan Council contributing to promote friendship between Japan and the United States and remarked that she would like to continue to work with the Japanese-American community and others toward further strengthening ties between Japan and the United States.
At the reception, two participants who joined the 2019 invitation programs to visit Japan organized by US-Japan Council made presentations on what they have experienced in Japan through the programs; Ms. Kelly Yamasaki, a participant in the Japanese American Leadership Delegation for 2019, and Ms. Alyssa Nilemo, a participant in the 2018 Emerging Leaders program.
