Consul-General Takeuchi hosts Conferment Ceremony for Mr. Thomas R Reid III (April 1, 2019)

On Monday, April 1, 2019, a conferment ceremony for the 2018 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals was held at the Official Residence where Consul-General Midori Takeuchi presented the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette to Mr. Thomas R. Reid III, former President of the Japan American Society of Colorado, former Tokyo Bureau Chief of the Washington Post, and author.
Mr. Reid’s family, friends and Japan American Society members attended the ceremony. Consul-General Takeuchi gave the congratulatory remarks and presented his decoration and certificate to Mr. Reid, after which Mr. Reid gave his reply address.
